Therefore, this study aims to detect and analyze the inundation area of tidal floods in the region by utilizing drone technology.

Tidal floods are a type of flooding caused by rising sea water during high tide. This phenomenon can cause significant damage to buildings, infrastructure, and disrupt the activities of the surrounding community and industry. The area affected by tidal floods in Bagan Deli Village is increasingly developing, causing urgent needs for more effective monitoring. The use of drone technology has become a popular method for monitoring and analyzing environmental changes, including tidal floods.

Methodology

In this study, the use of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) or drone allows accurate and efficient orthophoto data. The processed data is a picture from 2020 to 2021, providing a clear picture of changes in flood inundation from time to time. The digitization process is carried out using Arcgis software, which facilitates the mapping of areas affected by tidal floods. The analysis of the image data provides important information about the proportion of areas affected by tidal floods.

Results

The results of the analysis showed that at the first research location, the percentage of the inundated area reached 62.5%, with RMSE tolerance values in accordance with Class 2 Geometry Accuracy Standards according to the Head of the Head of the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) No. 15 of 2014. Meanwhile, at the second research location, the percentage of tidal flood inundation was recorded at 58.75%, which was in accordance with class 1 geometry accuracy.
