Introduction

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of a strategic plan on the performance of work units in the University of North Sumatra.

Methodology

This study used a quantitative approach, with a sample of 113 respondents who participated in seminars and workshops related to the preparation of the Strategic Plan of Work Units at the University of North Sumatra. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires directly, and the method used to test the hypothesis was a simple regression analysis using the SPSS program. Before testing hypotheses, data quality and classic assumptions were tested first.
