Introduction

This study aims to analyze the network of clean water supply systems in Lubuk Pakam City using Aleid X 2004 software, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality and efficiency of clean water services in the area.

Methodology

The first step in this study is the data collection needed, both from primary and secondary sources. This includes gathering information on the population in the residential area under study, as well as the water requirements at each service point and water requirements per hour for each customer. The next stage involves the calculation of water usage and production, as well as the analysis of the piping system using Aleid X 2004 software. The evaluation of the results of the analysis is carried out using the Hardy Cross method on the loop sample in the piping network.

Results and Discussion

Based on the calculations made, the total water usage reaches 208,299 m³/month, while the water production produced is 264,251 m³/month. The average water usage per customer is 0.045 m³/hour. At peak hours, the highest water requirement occurs at 07.00 with water consumption reaching 588.70 m³/hour, based on the pattern of water use for 24 hours. The piping system uses a PVC pipe with a diameter of 6, 8, 10, and 12 inches in diameter.

The results showed that the analysis conducted with Aleid X 2004 could accurately manual calculations. Evaluation between Aleid results and other methods such as Epanet and Hardy Cross in regions 2 and 5 indicate that the results are consistent with existing conditions. From a technical point of view, the headloss in the pipeline is quite significant, which is 48.04 m, the maximum speed in the pipe reaches 2.31 m/s, and the maximum discharge is 0.164 m³/s. Evaluation of the pipe diameter also shows that the pump head can be reduced from 55 meters to 53.25 meters.
