Research Objectives

This study aims to investigate the growth of Kenaf based on differences in spacing and shooting methods. The study was conducted at the Tanjung Anom Seed Center, Medan, from August to October 2015, using a random factorial group design involving two factors. The first factor is the spacing of crops consisting of 20 cm x 20 cm, 40 cm x 20 cm, 60 cm x 20 cm, and 80 cm x 20 cm. The second factor is pruning treatment, which includes pruning and without pruning.

In addition, the interaction between spacing and pruning has been proven to have a significant effect in increasing the diameter of plants.
