Introduction

In today's digital age, the role of digital libraries has become increasingly important in providing access to information for students and staff. The University of Medan State University's digital library is one of the key sources of information for its community. In an effort to improve information services, the Nawalib information system was introduced. This study aims to analyze the level of recruitment of the Nawalib information system among librarians and staff at the Digital Library of Medan State University, using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology 2 (Utaut 2) model. This research is expected to contribute to the development of digital library at Medan State University and beneficial for subsequent writers and researchers.

Methodology

The targeted population of this study was all 36 librarians and staff at the Digital Library of Medan State University. The sampling technique used was total sampling, where all members of the population were included in the study. The method applied in this study is descriptive, and data collection was carried out through a questionnaire and literature study. Measurement of variables in this study uses a Likert scale, which allows researchers to assess respondents based on their approval level of the statement given.

Results

The results of data processing show that the level of reception of the Nawalib information system in the Digital Library of Medan State University reaches 96.9%. The details of the acceptance are as follows:

Performance Expectancy (Performance Expectation)

100%: The high value of performance expectancy shows that users believe that this system can improve their performance. This can be caused by the features offered by Nawalib that meet their information needs efficiently.

Effort Expectancy (Ekspektasi Usaha)

95.3%: The high value of effort expectancy indicates that users feel the process of using nawalib is not too difficult. This is an important factor in the acceptance of technology, because the difficulty of use can be a barrier to adoption.

Social Influence (Faktor Sosial)

95.7%: The high value of social influence shows that users feel supported by their coworkers and the surrounding environment. This is a significant factor in the acceptance of technology, as social support can increase the likelihood of adoption.

Facilitating Conditions (Kondisi yang Memfasilitasi)

97.9%: The high value of facilitating conditions shows that the available infrastructure and resources support the use of nawalib well. This is very important so that the system can be accessed easily by librarians and staff.

Hedonic Motivation (Motivasi Hedonis)

97.1%: The high value of hedonic motivation shows that users feel happy and satisfied when using this system. This is an important factor in the acceptance of technology, as user satisfaction can increase the likelihood of adoption.

Price Value (Nilai Biaya)

97.2%: The high value of price value indicates that users feel that investment time and business are proportional to the benefits obtained. This is an important factor in the acceptance of technology, as users are more likely to adopt technology if they feel that the benefits outweigh the costs.

Habit (Kebiasaan)

94.3%: Although the habit value is lower than the other variables, it still shows a positive trend. This indicates that users are developing a habit of using the nawalib system, which can increase the likelihood of adoption.

Conclusion

The results of this study show that the Nawalib information system is well received by librarians and staff at the Digital Library of Medan State University. The high values of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit indicate that users are satisfied with the system and are likely to continue using it. The results of this study can be a foundation for further development of information systems in the Digital Library of Medan State University, as well as providing insights for research related to other information technology adoption.
