PT. Build Tenera Riau is a company that requires its employees to maintain a high level of work discipline. Methodology

This study employed an associative method with a quantitative approach to analyze the effect of fingerprint attendance on employee work discipline. The population consisted of 136 employees working at PT. Bangun Tenera Riau, while 100 samples were taken. To analyze the data, a series of methods were used, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple regression analysis, hypothesis tests (T-test), and determination coefficient tests. All analysis was carried out with the help of SPSS 22.0 software.

Results

The results of this study showed that the application of fingerprint attendance had a significant influence on employee work discipline. This is evidenced by a t-count of 7.951, which is greater than the T-table of 1,660. With a significance value of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, we can conclude that there is a strong positive influence between the two variables. Furthermore, the R-Square value of 0.392 shows that the contribution of the application of fingerprint attendance in increasing employee work discipline is 39.2%, while the remaining 60.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
