Introduction

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with ST elevation is a serious medical condition that requires immediate treatment. This study aims to analyze the relationship between TRI and KKVM values in AMI patients with ST elevation who were treated at Adam Malik Hajj Hospital.

Acute myocardial infarction with ST elevation is a condition where the blood flow to the heart is blocked, causing damage to the heart muscle. This retrospective research involved 95 patients treated at Adam Malik Hajj Hospital during the period January 2014 to December 2014. Patients included in this study were those who experienced AMI with ST elevation in less than 48 hours and did not undergo revascularization. The TRI value was calculated for each patient, and the relationship between TRI and KKVM values was analyzed.

Results

The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the TRI value and the total KKVM. Patients with a TRI value greater than 22.5-30 and TRI greater than 30 had a higher risk of experiencing KKVM. A significant relationship was also found between the TRI value greater than 30 with arrhythmia and death in the hospital.

Discussion

This study provides strong evidence of TRI's ability to predict KKVM in AMI patients with ST elevation. The results indicate that TRI is a simple but effective tool for assessing patient risk and assisting in clinical decision making. By using TRI, medical personnel can identify patients with high risk and provide appropriate interventions to prevent complications.
