By using Instagram, students can upload assignments, discuss, and share information, all of which contribute to their cognitive development and language.

In this study, the sample used was 100 students of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of North Sumatra (USU) class of 2020 who took part in the Educational Psychology course. The method applied is quantitative, where the data is collected using a measuring instrument in the form of a rubric specifically designed to measure human and computer interaction and its effect on cognitive and language aspects.

The rubric used in this study consisted of several dimensions, including:
