Introduction

The performance of a company is influenced by the interactions between internal and external factors. In this context, PT. (Persero) Bhanda Graha Reksa Medan, as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in services such as General Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, Surveyor, Appraisal, Pest Control, and Transportation, must be able to adapt and be responsive to the challenges of the business environment that continues to grow. With increasingly fierce competition, company managers are required to have skills in strategic management and participatory budget preparation.

The Importance of Strategic Management and Budget Preparation

Strategic management functions as a framework for determining the direction and purpose of the company, while the preparation of the budget acts as a tool to effectively manage resources. The combination of these two aspects can create more flexible and innovative business conditions, which are very important to survive and grow in a global competition environment. In this case, the preparation of the budget does not only function as a means of controlling and evaluating performance, but also as a motivation to achieve the stated goals.
