Factors that Influence Children Dropping Out of School: An Analysis of Confirmatory Factors in Padang Lawas Utara Regency

Introduction

The high dropout rate in Padang Lawas Utara Regency, reaching 24% at the level of primary and secondary education, is a serious problem that needs to be overcome. To understand the root of the problem and formulate an effective prevention strategy, this study uses confirmatory factor analysis to identify the factors that influence children dropping out of school. The dropout rate is a complex issue that involves various factors, both internal and external, which can affect a child's decision to continue their education.

The dropout rate in Padang Lawas Utara Regency is a significant concern that requires immediate attention. These findings suggest that the quality of teaching staff and family economic conditions are the most significant factors that contribute to the dropout rate in Padang Lawas Utara Regency.
