The goal is to get a clean and high-quality CPO so that it can be marketed at a decent price. However, the sludge separator liquid waste generated during this process contains a significant amount of CPO, which can be recovered and reused. In this study, we analyzed the hidden CPO levels in the sludge separator liquid waste using the Soxhletation extraction method.

Soxhletation Extraction Method: Effective Ways to Separate CPO from Waste

Soxhletation extraction method is an effective method in separating CPO from sludge separator liquid waste. The process involves the use of organic solvents to dissolve CPO from liquid waste samples. The commonly used solvent is N-HEXANA.

Soxhletation Extraction Steps

Sample Preparation: Sample Sludge liquid waste separator is dried and crushed into fine powder.

The results show that the CPO content in the sludge separator liquid waste ranges from 0.44% to 0.60%. This research can be a driving force for developing new technology in the CPO extraction process from the sludge separator liquid waste. Periodic CPO level analysis is highly recommended to monitor the efficiency of the separation process and evaluate the effectiveness of the extraction method.
