Introduction

The Sonang coastal forest in Central Tapanuli is a unique ecosystem that supports a diverse range of plant and fungal species. Interestingly, the method of trapping spores using Pueraria Javanica host plants produced more spores compared to spores isolated directly from the field.

A total of 28 types of FMA spores were found in this study, with 26 of them belonging to the genus Glomus and the remaining two classified in the genus Acaulospora. FMA colonization was observed in all sample plant roots, with the percentage of colonization ranging from low to moderate.
