Introduction

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a crucial aspect of business operations in recent years. Companies are expected to not only generate profits but also contribute to the well-being of society and the environment. In the oil palm industry, CSR is particularly important due to the environmental and social impacts of palm oil production. This study aims to investigate the factors that influence the disclosure of CSR in oil palm companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2017-2021 period, with a focus on the moderating effect of firm size.

Factors Influencing CSR Disclosure in Oil Palm Companies

The population of this study consisted of 26 palm oil companies listed on the IDX, with all of them used as samples, resulting in 152 observations. The research data were analyzed using e-views statistics programs. The results showed that profitability has a positive but not significant influence on CSR. Liquidity has a negative and insignificant influence on CSR. Leverage has a positive and significant influence on CSR. Public share ownership has a positive and insignificant influence on CSR. The size of the Board of Commissioners has a positive and insignificant influence on CSR.
