Introduction

In an effort to mitigate climate change, this research focuses on estimating carbon biomass reserves on land (AGB) on the agroforestry system in Parbaba Dolok Village, Samosir Regency. The study aims to measure carbon content and map the distribution of carbon in agroforestry stands in the region by utilizing remote sensing data.

The Importance of Agroforestry in Carbon Absorption

The agroforestry system has a high potential to absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere, making it a solution to reduce the greenhouse effect that causes global warming. By increasing carbon content in the soil, agroforestry contributes to reducing the concentration of greenhouse gases and suppressing the need for forest land clearing.
