Introduction

This study used a quantitative model with the causality association approach to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction and work motivation. A sample of 34 employees was selected using the saturated sampling method. Data was collected through a research scale and analyzed using various methods, including validity tests, reliability tests, linearity tests, and linear regression calculations.

Results

The results of this study showed that 62% of employees were satisfied with their work. In addition, 56% of employees in the office of the Ministry of Religion in West Nias Regency showed a positive influence of 11.9% on their work motivation. The regression analysis yielded the equation y = 34.702 + 0.172x, with a correlation coefficient value r = 0.345. The t-test showed that the arithmetic value (2,079) was greater than the table value (2,03693) with a significance of 0.046. These results indicate that the higher the job satisfaction of employees, the higher their work motivation.
