Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with the heads of fields and staff of Dispenda, as well as the distribution of questionnaires to 48 restaurant taxpayers spread across four districts in Deli Serdang Regency.

Results

The results of the study showed that the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2011 regarding restaurant tax has not been running well. One of the main factors is the lack of effective communication in the form of socialization or counseling to restaurant business owners. As a result, many restaurant owners are unaware of their obligation to pay taxes, so the restaurant tax realization target is not achieved.
