The Effect of Leadership Style on Bureaucratic Performance in the Karo Regent's Office, Tanah Karo Regency

Introduction

Effective leadership is a crucial factor in determining the success of an organization. The Karo Regent's Office, Tanah Karo Regency, is one such organization that relies heavily on effective leadership to achieve its goals. This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style on bureaucratic performance in the Karo Regent's Office, Tanah Karo Regency.

Methodology

This study employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between leadership style and bureaucratic performance. The research population consisted of employees at the Karo Regency Regional Secretariat, with all 79 employees used as samples. Data processing was carried out using SPSS 16.0 software for Windows.

Results

The results of this study showed a significant influence between leadership style and employee performance in the Karo Regent's office. The value of R (0.484) indicates that the relationship between leaders and employees is 48%, suggesting a close relationship between leadership style and bureaucratic performance in the office. Furthermore, the Adjusted R Square value of 0.235 indicates that 23.5% of employee performance can be explained by the influence of leadership style, while the rest (77%) is influenced by other factors not explained in this study.
