Introduction

Methodology

This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative design to explore the effect of OCB on employee performance at PT. Sun Life Financial Sharia Medan. The research sample consists of 33 respondents who completed questionnaires and participated in literature studies. The data analysis process involves multiple linear regression analysis, instrument tests, classic assumption tests, and hypothesis tests using SPSS for Windows statistics software version 24.0.

Results

The results of this study show that OCB has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The partial significance test (T test) reveals a t-calculating value of 2,306, which is greater than the t-table value of 1,697. This indicates that the first hypothesis (H1), which states that OCB affects employee performance, is accepted, while the zero hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.145 shows that 14.5% of employee performance is influenced by OCB, while 85.5% is influenced by other factors outside of this study.
