The data collection method was carried out using a questionnaire and documentation study, and the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software.

Results

The results of this study showed that training and work motivation had a significant effect on employee performance at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) Medan, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained was 88.10%, which means that the independent variable (training and work motivation) explains its effect on the dependent variable (employee performance) of 88.10%, while the remaining (11.90%) is influenced by other variables that are not revealed in this study.

Discussion

The results of this study highlight the importance of training and work motivation in improving employee performance at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (Persero) Medan. Targeted and continuous training can improve employee skills and knowledge, so that they can work more efficiently and effectively. High work motivation can also increase employee enthusiasm, dedication, and loyalty, which in turn will have a positive impact on their performance.
