The results show that the hydrogen output of the SMR system at that temperature reaches 43% based on simulation and 44% of the experimental data. The efficiency of the pyrolysis system using TKKS as raw material is around 82%, while the SMR efficiency is 58.10%.

With a fairly high conversion efficiency in the process of pyrolysis and SMR, this study demonstrates the great potential of TKKS as a source of renewable energy. Considering the waste problem faced by the palm oil industry, the use of TKKS can contribute to reducing waste and cost savings.
